Nestled in the rich wild-bird covers of
Central Maine, Woodcock Haven Kennels is the home of professional
trainer/handler Al Ladd. For over 25 years, Ladd has trained
grouse dogs for the most discriminating upland bird hunter
and for field trial competition. He is also a successful handler,
competing in wild-bird trials in the fall and walking quail
trials in the spring.
Dogs trained at Woodcock Haven Kennels
are appreciated for their class, well-developed manners on
birds, refined pointing style and hunting experience. Puppies,
started dogs and finished shooting dogs from fine English
pointer and setter bloodlines are occasionally available |
